There's a lot of dim sum in SF especially in Chinatown, so it's hard to know which spot is good or not since there's so many to choose from. I took my parents out for lunch and we got a lot of variety. Menu was super extensive and had pictures which is a huge plus since we know what the food will look like. The service was good, but they forgot our iced water when we ask for it, so we just drank hot tea. We got string beans with XO sauce, which is a must for Chinese food. It was good. Pork & shrimp sui mai was also good, better than some of the places I've had in the Bay. My parents like the sticky rice with lotus leaf, but I wasn't a huge fan. They ordered chicken feet and that came out piping hot. Beef chow fun is also a must order, and that was my fav dish. House fried rice was not too salty/bland. It was perfectly seasoned. My sister really likes the walnut prawns. For desserts, we ordered 1 fried sesame balls and 2 orders of egg custard tarts which I feel is a bit pricey for what it tastes especially the egg tarts. One thing, my parents noticed is that whatever the food you order and they serve it to you, it will remain hot until you finish, which is so great. Not a lot of Chinese dim sum restaurants will have that kind of quality. Also, every kind of dish we order, it's not too oily or salty. You'll know you enter a Chinese restaurant when you hear them loud and clear outside & inside the restaurant lol. They'll scream and shout, but that's just how they are. Bathroom could be a lot cleaner though.

Really enjoyed this spot in the busy streets of Chinatown. The food was quite good and service was fast. The place is nice and clean as well.

We were in the City for "Empire Strips Back" (recommended), which plays right across the street. We parked a couple of blocks away at Portsmouth Square Garage. Begoni has good reviews and my wife liked the use of quasi-table cloths. Very good Chinese food with an extensive menu. We were given an order sheet to self-fill out. Beer and wine are offered. Our waiter was helpful with recommendations. I restrict my 5-star ratings - very stingy. So, if I'm not finding anything to complain about, then a 5-star review is warranted.
